Abstract
In this paper, we suggested a compact near-filed RFID reader antenna of 150 mm × 150 mm × 25 mm in UHF band. The proposed antenna emits strong magnetic field made by electric and magnetic dipole source. In detail, the impedance matching, investigation of both near-magnetic field and surface current distribution is carried out using a commercial simulation. As a result, the proposed reader antenna emits the forceful magnetic field on a center of the antenna and has -10 dB and -3 dB bandwidths of 6 MHz and 18 MHz, respectively.
