Abstract
There is general agreement that the advances in information technology facilitate e-government development and trigger the innovations of governance mode. In view of the contemporary trends, this study explores the correlations between e-government application and governance mode innovation, lists the major obstacles involved and puts forward some specific approaches to their respective developments.
