Abstract :
This paper describes the software product "MapTracker" which is part of a hardware-software complex destined for checking the integrity of a gas pipeline. This hardware-software complex is based on the idea of use modern information technologies in the gas-production industry. These technologies are geographic information systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
