Abstract
Here we report on ultrabroadband optical parametric amplification (OPA) in the relatively new nonlinear crystal bismuth triborate, BiB306 (BIBO), pumped by the fundamental of a 1 kHz Ti:sapphire laser system (lambdap=800 nm).
