  • Abstract
Although conventional stereoscopic display can provide us better lays of graphics, observers in different locations observe the same stereoscopic image so that motion parallax can not be simulated and there is no a strong spatial cognition. This paper describes a new way to realize a stereoscopic display system in which the moving of virtual camera is controlled by the result of visual inspection and stereoscopic images in corresponding positions can be generated. In this way, the motion parallax and visual field changes can be simulated and it makes the virtual reality possess a strong sense of reality. Tested by experiments, this method meets the need of the system and achieves anticipated effect. The method has been successfully applied in Zhangjiagang Science and Technology Museum.
