Abstract :
A method is presented to determine the three dimensional velocity of targets with a multistatic radar. First the radial speeds are measured with a phase difference method - fast, but confined to cases with only one target in a rangebin - or with a Doppler FFT - less fast but more targets in a rangebin can be processed - and after that those radial velocities are combined to a three dimensional velocity vector. This velocity vector is used to separate targets and ghosts (false targets) by grouping the combinations.
