Abstract
A transmission scheme is described that greatly enhances the spectral efficiency of broadcast services delivered over a UTRA TDD cellular network. The scheme merges the concepts of timeslot re-use and macro diversity and facilitates macro-diversity combining in the terminal receivers without significant complexity impact on the detector and demodulation components. A performance analysis is conducted and results are presented for a macro-cellular deployment model.
