Abstract :
We present a simple and efficient method to seamlessly stitch the images according to a stitching line based on an energy map. The power of this method lies in the integration of many superior features and at the same time, it is still efficient. One striking feature of our approach is that it is based on the philosophy that human eyes mostly notice only the salient features of an image and the stitching line skirts round the important objects like human faces to avoid distorting the content of image in the seam area. Robustness is another salient characteristic of our method in de-ghosting when moving objects are left in which will appear blurry and "ghosted." Unlike previous approaches to the same problem, the method also has least distortion of the original images. We finally present several useful applications of this method such as quick texture stitching.
