  • Abstract
    Some characteristic features of wastewater treatment processes were discussed, and according to its characters of time-varying, nonlinearity, complexity and uncertainty, it was presented that intelligent control was an effective method that could be used to achieve the automatic control of wastewater treatment system. The present developing situation of artificial neural networks in wastewater treatment at home and abroad was reviewed. In combination with the developing trend of the researches at home and abroad, further researches of artificial neural networks in wastewater treatment need to do in the future are also prospected.
