Abstract :
Most fitness equipments are unitary in function, lacking enjoyment and interactive features. To solve this problem, a software system running in treadmill with virtual scene is developed. This paper describes how to implement such kind of system by using Open Cobalt, LDAP and distributed virtual system. Implementation technique include: terrain rendering, sky effects, dynamic timing systems, human-computer interaction and network functions based on Open Cobalt.
