Abstract
The different methods of simulation of metal-oxide surge arresters are discussed for investigation of lightning and high frequency switching surges. The necessity of the account of dynamic properties of a current-voltage characteristic of metal-oxide surge arresters for deriving nonundervalued levels of overvoltages is represented.
