Abstract
The goal of this study is to design robust and reliable pumping configurations for multi-Terawatt / Petawatt class power amplifiers. For that we investigate all the necessary processes involved in Ti:Sapphire lasers pumping: the damage threshold and the optimal pump fluency amplifying material (Ti:Sapphire), the beam transport technique (relay image and homogenization) and the coherence properties of pump lasers.
