  • Abstract
Sheet metal forming is the process of converting a flat sheet of metal into a desired shape without fracture and with thinning in expected limits. This process is realized by a tool that has necessary male and female die surfaces. Multi Point Forming has provided a flexible tooling system that may replace the part specific tooling. In this paper, finite element simulation for sheet metal was performed to investigate the applicability of applying hydrostatic pressure on blank in Multi Point Forming (MPF) using discrete dies tools.
