Abstract
The recently discovered ability to manufacture the fourth basic electrical component, the memristor, has resulted in a great interest in applications for the device. Although most interest is geared towards digital systems applications and computer memory, the device also possesses interesting analog abilities. The characteristics of the memristor will be exploited here for the design of radio frequency devices. A specialized FDTD simulation tool is developed that implements a finite difference memristor model. The FDTD code is employed to analyze and design a memristor-based reconfigurable absorber.
