Abstract :
In this paper we compare the electrical behavior of classical dual mode filters in circular waveguide with the one of a new family of low-loss, inductive, dual-mode filters in rectangular waveguide. The comparison shows that the simplicity of the new filter structure and its electrical performance make it an ideal potential candidate for OMUX applications on satellite telecom payloads.
