Abstract :
We present two methods which exploit the two-dimensional spatial character of the emitted radiation. The first one is the production of attosecond pulse trains the use of which is equivalent to that of isolated attosecond pulses, provided polarization selective detection is applied. The second method uses the fact that the harmonics are emitted from a range of angles, which can significantly simplify orbital tomography of molecules and permits single-shot tomographic measurements.
