  • Abstract
    The e-government performance evaluation is an important means to monitor and to manage the process of e-government construction. Carrying out scientific e-government performance evaluation and management and establishing the whole process of e-government evaluation system and operational procedures are effective measures to improve e-government performance and governmental image. By analyzing the content and significance of e-government performance evaluation, this paper discusses China´s current difficulties about the lag of regulation and working mechanism in e-government performance evaluation and puts forward some suggestions, such as improving the lag of regulation and working mechanism, building the incentive and restraint mechanisms associated with e-government performance evaluation gradually and avoiding the risks of e-government performance evaluation.
