Abstract
In this paper, for composite systems with faulty actuators, a new fault tolerant control method is developed based on switching actuators. The method can automatically switch from the faulty actuators to the healthy ones after the failure time. Because the switching logic does not utilize mathematical models of the controlled systems, one can obtain the simple self-repairing control system (SRCS) whose structure does not depend on the orders of the controlled systems. This paper also theoretically shows that the SRCS ceases to switch the actuators within a finite number of switches, and the healthy actuators are all selected at the last switching time.
