Abstract
This paper outlines the key characteristics of the Improved Landmine Detection System being procured by the Canadian Army. The system uses multiple detection sensors in order to provide a high probability of detection, and fuses the multiple sensor data in order to maintain a practical false alarm rate. Standoff detection, for operator safety, is achieved by remotely controlling the vehicle platforms.
