  • Abstract
    This paper shows numerically and experimentally how the characteristics of the employed DPSK transmitter affect the generation of a 1-CAPS code. This study also compares the performance of a DFB laser modulated by a dual drive Mach-Zehnder modulator operating in push-pull mode to obtain a pi-modulation depth, with the performance of a linear phase modulator.
