Abstract :
A novel even harmonic type Si-MMIC active balanced mixer using Common Emitter Common Collector Transistor Pair (CECCTP) is proposed. The mixer configuration has two technical features; a low second order distortion and a low second harmonic of LO. These features are confirmed by the simulated results and the measured results. Characteristics of the direct conversion mixer are also described with an experimental approach.
