As a burgeoning field of combining international business and entrepreneurship, international new venture (INV) is the new venture with fast internationalization soon after its foundation. Existing analysis of INVs´ formation in developed countries is mainly based on resource theory that cannot explain those in developing countries. Based on institutional theory, this paper analyzes the influence of institution isomorphism (i.e., coercive, mimetic and normative) on INVs´ formation in developing countries, such as China, as supplementation to comprehensive understanding of INV´s international expanding.
