  • Abstract
This article shows a cascaded Raman fibre laser delivering a fourth-order Stokes component that exhibits subnanosecond pulses at a repetition equal to the cavity FSR. The time evolution of total powers of each of the four Stokes components delivered by the Raman laser is obtained. An alternative design of a ring cavity, which includes a multiplexer and compensation of dispersion, is also presented to focus the study to the dynamics on the first Stokes component.
