  • Abstract
The Rockwell Vision System is the most advanced, integrated crop management and analysis tool available on the market today. This system includes software and hardware that utilizes differential Global Positioning System (GPS) to capture field data, including yield, crop moisture, topography, soil type, soil chemistry, and weed infestation (up to 256 layers of data). As a result, the farmer can see layer after layer of precise data on each piece of ground. Highly capable geographic information system (GIS) software enables the farmer and crop consultant to analyze each field´s productivity and manage crop inputs (seed, fertilizer, and chemicals) to achieve economic and environmental benefits. The Vision System hardware consists of the vision receiver, the vision computer display, and associated installation kits
