  • Abstract
Nucleotide excision repair (NER) is a key mechanism in cellular damage repair, and therefore in the cell´s response to cisplatin treatment in neoplastic diseases. In this paper we suggest a model of this complex mechanism, and study the corresponding identification problem. We propose a hybrid model of nucleotide excision repair, carry out a detailed identifiability analysis based on results from sensitivity analysis, and test a possible identification scheme, although based on simulated data. The proposed simulation approach is also relevant in planning measurement experiments to collect data for true identification of real models.
