The Background and Exploration on Decision Support System Applied in the Media

In China, traditional media which make decision using experience and partial data cannot acclimatize itself to the more variable and competitive industry environment. So it is imperative for media managers to make decision by using information technology. The article discusses the background, meaning, system architecture, and functions of the media decision support system, combined with the China Central Television´s exploration of the same field.
