  • Abstract
For radio access systems based on time division duplex (TDD) mode, like the time division synchronous code multiple access (TD-SCDMA) radio system, frame synchronization is a fundamental feature to minimize interference and therefore optimize the offered traffic capacity. In particular, sub-frame synchronization ensures that uplink and downlink transmission directions are positioned. In this paper a method was proposed to realize accurate control of downlink and uplink timeslots of the TD-SCDMA repeater, thus preventing interference between adjacent downlink and uplink timeslots, where the procedure is performed by sub-frame synchronization and time-delay estimation. The method presented in these pages allows to have a higher reliability and accuracy with respect to the methods described in the UTRAN standard for TDD-LCR.
