Abstract
Employment-oriented vocational education reform draws increasing attention in China. In order to train students master the basic core competencies and key professional capacity, and to prepare best entry into the enterprise and maximize the fitness of the jobs, we developed an Integrated Simulation Curriculum for high vocational students of civil engineer major. After students completed the basic courses and specialized courses, we set aside one semester for comprehensive training, including application of theoretical knowledge, professional skills and professionalism. Development principle, ideas, and features of the curriculum were also introduced. The practice of the curriculum achieved following results. First, it stimulated the consciousness and initiative of students. Second, it solved difficulties of practical training for civil engineer. Third, it shortened the time to adapting the post jobs. Fourth, it eliminated the conflict between the authenticity and controllability of professional training environment.
