Abstract
Electronic learning or e-learning covers a varied learning structure supported by computer software for the storage of learning materials and information systems. Many firms have embraced e-learning approaches rather than the traditional classroom training structure in order to save time and other resources. Although companies are adopting e-learning, there are very few firms that have evaluated the acceptance of trainings using electronic medium. In this case study, an extended TAM with three additional independent variables (Perceive Value Added, Internal Selling of e-learning Software, and Perceived Need for Training) was used to examine employees´ willingness to adopt e-learning system in ABC semiconductor firm. Five hypotheses were developed based on the conceptual framework. We developed a research design and protocol for this study based on prior research. Data analysis will involve the use of regression analysis to test the hypotheses, and based on the findings, we will highlight specific contributions of the findings to practice and research including suggestions for future research.
