Abstract :
An atom chip is designed to manipulate magnetically trapped ultracold atoms and Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) near a surface using micro fabricated patterns of current-carrying wires or permanent magnetic materials. We report on experiments using our permanent magnet atom chip.
