Abstract :
A novel coplanar-waveguide (CPW)-fed printed monopole antenna is presented. The proposed antenna consists of four L-shaped monopoles of different sizes and a CPW-fed structure with the total size of 29mm × 25mm × 1mm. The simulated results show that the antenna has good impedance bandwidth at 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz (2387-2576 MHz, 4887-5384 MHz, 5691-6265 MHz) which easily meet the requirements of the IEEE 802.11 standards. Good radiation characteristics of the antenna have also been obtained.
