Abstract :
In order to improve the performance of equalization algorithm for joint blind equalization and carrier recovery in underwater acoustic channel, a modified super-exponential algorithm is proposed by substituting the constant modulus error of super-exponential iteration algorithm (SEI) with a square contour error in the fractionally spaced system. The proposed algorithm combines the fast convergence ability of SEI and carrier recovery function of square contour algorithm (SCA). Computer simulations are carried out using shallow water acoustic channel. Compared with the original constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and SCA algorithm, the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves channel equalization and carrier recovery at the same time, has characteristics of fast convergence and lower residual intersymbol interference.
