Abstract :
The high power transient phenomena have attracted more and more attention nowadays. And IEC/TC77C is the standard organization taking charge of high power transient phenomena and its related information. This paper collects and clears up the series of TC77C standards, and describes the main critical content of each standard in detail. High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) and High Power Electromagnetic (HPEM) are of the most importance. The content includes five parts, namely general, environment, testing and measurement techniques, installation and mitigation guidelines, generic standards. The standards provide the basic references for the definition and test procedures of the high power transient phenomena. Many countries make the related simulator tests and the standards summarize the valuable information.
