Abstract :
In recent years control technology is becoming more and more present on heavy duty machinery. Some controllers are used to alleviate operator tasks, others are used to conform to the more and more stringent environmental legislation. In this paper the propulsion system of a combine harvester is modeled. This model is then used to develop a cruise control system.
