Abstract
It is a well-known fact that e-learning costs the teaching staff a lot of workloads. However, it is also known that students like e-learning classes, are doing well and are satisfied. We think one of the reasons that students like e-learning classes reside in using digital equipment. Operating digital equipment provides a stimulus to the monotonous classes and a sense of participation to the students. We apply the effect of using digital equipment during a class to improve the percentage of attendance. On the other hand, recently, especially in Japan, almost all students have mobile phones. In addition, almost all mobile phones have not only e-mail functions but also digital cameras. In this paper, making good use of both the effect of e-learning and the students´ mobile phones, a simple and low cost attendance management system is proposed.
