Abstract
This paper provides information on the development and use of a simulation software for high power cycloconverter drive systems such as for marine propulsion in cruise liners and ice breakers. CCYCLOC and CCYCLOV are special purpose computer programs for the analysis of cycloconverter input current and output voltage harmonics. Based on the DOS (Direct Optimum Symmetry) technique these programs provide spectral information on several operating scenarios including discontinuous and continuous circulating current cycloconverter operations
