Abstract :
The paper presents a combined algorithm to recognize and locate the retro-reflective targets in images used in digital industrial photogrammetry. It recognizes the targets based on edge search and locates their centers based on intensity-weighted centroiding approach. Experiments prove that the algorithms can recognize the targets and locate their centers in images accurately with precision about 0.02 pixels, which meets the needs for accuracy of precise digital industrial photogrammetry.
