Abstract :
An operational amplifier that employs a feed-forward architecture to achieve a 50-MHz unity-gain bandwidth and 130-dB open-loop gain is described. The amplifier response is dominated at low frequencies by a precision two-stage amplifier, whereas at high frequencies a single folded-cascode stage takes over and reduces the overall phase shift. The 1.84-mm×2.4-mm chip was fabricated by a dielectrically isolated 400-MHz complementary bipolar process
