Abstract :
Novel synthetic CAD models based on the closed-form conformal mappings for auxiliary canonical configurations have been developed for analysis of two- (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) structures containing right-angle conductor wedges and steps. The proposed approach also enables the solution of an inverse problem of recovering physical dimensions from the specified electrical parameters. High accuracy and versatility of the new models are illustrated with the examples of rectangular bars, step discontinuity and open end of coaxial line.
