The Dynamic Characteristics of the Enterprise Network in Xi´an Software Industry Cluster

Based on the enterprise data of year 2000-2007 in Xi´an software industry cluster from the State Intellectual Property Protection Center, this study derived one-mode network from the cluster´s affiliation network and analyzed the dynamic characteristics of the enterprise ego-centered network and the whole network by the index description, the cluster analysis and the optimal matching. Several conclusions were drawn: (a) The enterprises that involve in only one industry take overwhelming majority of the enterprises; (b) Though the trend of diversified development is weak, the scale of peer enterprises is burgeoning; (c) The scope of information communication among the enterprises in the cluster is enlarging; d) The communication among the enterprises is more and more frequent, and the cohesion is generally increasing.
