Abstract :
The work of Bass (1983) and others on the sensitivity of dynamical systems in control inspired continuing research on the accuracy and condition of control computations. In the following we provide details on some of the matrix extensions of the performance bounds Bass developed using the qualitative theory of ordinary differential equations. The theory of these matrix performance bounds has been matched with reliable numerical procedures for their computation
