  • Abstract
High frequency dc-dc converters are now-a- days widely used in power electronic applications. High operating frequencies entail a reduction in size of the passive components such as inductor, capacitor and power transformers. By operating the converter at higher switching frequencies with conventional hard switching topologies the transistor switching losses increases at both turn on and turn off. In order to achieve a high frequency operation with moderate switching losses a number of soft switching topologies have been studied. So modeling and analysis of soft switching converter is preferable. In this paper modeling and analysis of a multi-output push-pull ZCS quasi-resonant converter is carried out using state-space averaging technique. State space averaging technique allows a switched system to be approximated as a continuous non-linear system and linearization allows the resulting non-linear system to be approximated as a linear system. The advantages of state space design are especially apparent when the system to be controlled has more then one control input and more than one sensed output and also it shows the internal behaviour of the system.
