Abstract :
A long rectangular microstrip antenna for interstitial microwave hyperthermia at frequency 2450 MHz is described in this paper. The diameter of the antenna including the catheter is suitably diminutive for simply invasive therapy. The high specific absorption rate (SAR) in area near to the body surface has been covered up. To minimize the thickness of antenna, a very thin PTFE substrate can be used for antenna designing. The antenna designing based on cavity model.
