Abstract :
This paper reports results from a ground penetrating radar that uses an antenna array for 3-dimensional underground imaging. The radar applies digitally generated waveforms for high system performance using low transmitted power. The antenna array covers a 2.6 meter wide swath, hence the system can collect data fast and efficient over large areas. The system has been applied to utility mapping and railway inspection during 2002 demonstrating high-resolution imaging of concealed targets and underground structures.
