Abstract :
Malmquist Index method is applied to measure Efficiency of Engineering Consulting Industry for China during 2001 to 2008. And the change of total factor productivity is decomposed into technology change, efficiency change. Furthermore, this study analyzes the inherent force of increase in Efficiency of Engineering Consulting Industry. The results show that the growth of Efficiency of Engineering Consulting Industry is mainly promoted by the technology change rather than the efficiency change. Through empirical analysis, this study also points out the development of Efficiency of Engineering Consulting Industry should focus on the improvement of technology change.
