Abstract
A method for suppressing spurious responses of planar bandpass filters (BPFs) using λ/2 resonators is proposed. We show that the spurious responses of the BPF can be suppressed by using the the resonator with the tap-connection technique and refer to the application examples of BPFs and coupled-line BPFs are provided. It has been confirmed that the resonator depending on the excitation method is useful for suppressing spurious responses of the planar BPF.
