Emergy evaluations on development level of circular economy in Yulin city

Based on emergy analysis, the development level of circular economy in Yulin city is evaluated from such five aspects as emergy flow, emergy economy, the use of environmental resources, environmental pressure and comprehensive index. The paper analyzed the development condition of circular economy in Yulin from 2000 to 2008. The results show that the development of economy mainly depends on the nonrenewable resources and it is a region of resource out-putting. As a result, pressures on resources and environment of Yulin city are more and more serious. This means that Yulin is a poor sustainable region. Therefore the future development of circular economy of Yulin should make great efforts on properly exploiting and utilizing nonrenewable resources and improving the level of recycle use in order to promote the development of circular economy.
