Abstract
The shared TDD scheme has been proposed for accommodation of asymmetric traffic between uplinks and downlinks. The cellular systems applying the shared-TDD scheme cause interlink interference. This paper proposes a downlink packet transmission control scheme in order to relieve the effect of interlink interference in CDMA/shared-TDD cellular packet systems. In the proposed scheme, base stations select the slots transmitting downlink packets based on both the location of receiving mobile stations and the slot allocations in the adjacent cells. Computer simulation shows that the proposed scheme relieves the effect of interlink interference, and thus improves the downlink transmission efficiency.
