Abstract
The paper presents the CORDIC based design for AM signal generation and QAM, implemented in RTL, it would be purely based on implementing the analogue carrier as well as baseband signal sampled at a particular rate using a quantizer then further applied to the digital modulation module to generate the modulated signal in the selected time frame for the specified data rate. CORDIC algorithm has been used to solve the signal multiplication part in the specified data format, other modules are also developed to implement its signal processing, and therefore the entire hardware realization is carried out using RTL in Verilog to generate its digital circuits. Design verification is carried out for the presented work.
