Abstract
Capacitive-loaded interstitial antennas for 2.45 GHz are proposed. They basically consist of coaxial cable, a second source and capacitive loads which are just pieces of the coaxial cable. The second source is tipped at the end of each antenna, which helps a SAR (specific absorption rate) pattern concentrated and desirable. Depending on the number of capacitive load, ZCIA (zero capacitive-loaded interstitial antenna), OCIA (one capacitive-loaded interstitial antenna) and TCIA (two capacitive-loaded interstitial antenna) are named, and design method using matching technique is considered. Matching responses and SAR patterns have been measured in muscle phantom tissue and the measured results show excellent performances and desirable temperature distribution for reducing damage to healthy surrounding tissue.
